My way to happiness? stay true and loyal to yourself

The church said a soul is worth more than the whole wide world,

with my brothers and my sisters one big family,

I thought we’d stay together for eternity,

But when I didn’t fit into society, always ruled by fear and insecurity,

cause they taught me to see, feelings as a part of my souls identity,

and with the lack of insight and bigotry,

they just turned their back on me,

at first I took it just quietly, before I started to fight back intellectually,

keeping my integrity…

so I stayed loyal to myself, loyal to myself, caus’ I knew I was worth it,

learned to listen to myself, instead of everyone else, had the power to decide it… (2x)
